The goal of the Empower Youth, Explore Stories (EYES) project is to empower young people by involving them in exploring, documenting, and presenting their local heritage.
The project aims to strengthen community identity, enhance digital literacy, and build intergenerational bonds, while providing young people with a platform to engage in civic and community life.
EYES aims to demonstrate that youth play an essential role in shaping their community.
During the project, we will create:
Heritage and Community Guide
We will create a guide including detailed information on the significance of local heritage in fostering community identity and practical examples.
Best Practices repository
It will contain documented case studies and examples from various regions.
10 model tour templates
They will be adaptable to various local contexts that provide a ready-to-use resource for youth and educators to create heritage tours.
A comprehensive tutorial
We will create step-by-step guides and video tutorials, that will provide youth with the skills and knowledge needed to develop their own heritage tours.
Support Role Guide
It will be created for facilitators, outlining the roles, responsibilities, and strategies for supporting youth in the tour creation process.
